If one knew what the distance between each bench level was you could; unfortunately I don't remember the exact distance, but I can tell you that Tilden is around 1,200 ft. deep.

Somewhere in my tons of "stuff" I have a photo of daisies on the rocks taken back in the early 70's. Wish I could find that. As for Drummond Island, I've always wanted to see it as it looks like such a remote unsettled area. Maybe some day yet. (bucket list)

A lot of controversy over the Tilden mine. It's so good for the UP's economy, yet, a lot of folks are against it. Can't understand why.

Also a lot of negative talk over logging. Can't understand that either.

Isn't this what made the UP?

Some people claim that mining ruins the land. Some people claim that logging ruins the land.

Would you rather have chemical and oil plants that destroy the environment?

Not me.

That is what made the UP and soon will start to again.
