As we drift into Autumn I'm remembering how much my precious husband and best friend, Frank, and I always enjoyed this time of year. We usually took the first week of October to vacation in the beautiful land of Michigan! Miss you, Honey!

I'm remembering a former classmate of mine, who passed away this month. Mary Ella Bergh grew up in Jacobsville and was always such a very nice person. I'm sure she is missed terribly by her family.

You have "Seal" David Warsen listed, that was a sad day when that news came out around hear. He is our insurance man's son who was killed in Afghanistan just a matter of weeks ago. From the Airport to the funeral home the streets were just packed.

Mary says: I asked Charlie to include him, because he was the fiancé of my granddaughter's Godmother. They were to be married in December and my granddaughter was going to be their flowergirl. So very sad to lose these brave young men and women. God Bless them all.

all my grandparents, my parents, my two (2) brothers, who died wayyyy to young in life and my favorite uncle. i miss all of you so much.

Remembering my Dad, Jim Carson, who died 14 years ago today. He loved visiting Copper Harbor with my two younger brothers on their way to Isle Royale. We all miss him very much.

Thinking of my little brother who passed over this month in 1993 ... hard to believe it's been 19 years. He loved the UP as much as I do. Miss you, Peter!

Remembering my brother Jim Tourville. He was born in Hancock, Mi. He went to be with the Lord in September 2011. I miss him a lot. Jim was a kind person who would do anything for you. He went the extra mile. He was there for me and my kids in good times and bad. He was a computer genius, which every family needs now days. He had great sense of humor and was the life of the party making everyone laugh. He moved out to the mountains of Colorado and I am glad he got to enjoy these last few years in the beauty of nature. He will have a grandchild born in December. I hope he takes after him...

Also in memory of Brian Lahti, my nephew, who passed away Sept 12 2012 from a motorcycle accident. Too young, too soon, too loved. He will be missed always.
