Sometimes you just have to stop and smell the flowers...that's what this interesting butterfly seems to be doing. After a bit of research on the Internet, I've come to the conclusion that this is a Coral Hairstreak butterfly, that Mike Schneider captured for us here today. He said these photos were snapped on a lunch time walk along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Munising. What a great way to rejuvenate, mid-day, breathing in the scents and sounds of Lake Superior. Thanks to Mike, we get to enjoy the color of nature UP North, right along with him.

Hopefully a great day for the Treganowan family in Eagle River. Their son Josh is marrying Kelly Kotaniemi on the beach at Eagle River at Mid-Day today. If anyone has any photos I'd love to see them.....just too far to travel from Cornwall UK !!
