This was a hard one.

Both years include the ornate dome structure of the Douglass House

Today's photos are beautiful. I especially like the storm clouds over Redridge, the Canopy of Greenery, and the Eagle Harbor Light. :-)

Oh!! That was the Douglas House I was seeing. I mistook it for the Courthouse!! Oh well. At least we all knew it was Houghton's something or other, lol. And I love my elusive half a bird:-)

A very Happy Anniversary to our daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ernie Bond! They spent their honeymoon in Michigan 33 years ago! :)

Marquette's south beach is closed due to E-Coli again. The water is way too warm along with other circumstances.

Enjoying the pictures on Pasty cam is the next best thing to being
there! I"m sitting at my computer,the house is all shuttered up
and we are waiting for the arrival of Isaac. We are right in the mid
-keys If I could have my way I would be sitting on the shore of
Lake Superior.

The cruise ship Yorktown-that came through and docked in Houghton this summer, ran aground. It ran aground in Wyandotte, Mi. It was on its way through Clevand, Montreal then end in Quebec City. It is reported that the ship is not leaning or taking on water, it is just stuck.

It is reported on boatnerd,com that the ship is freed and on its way. The captain took a wrong turn and went into shallow waters.
