Beautiful cool morning out there ~ enjoy it everyone!

You may have noticed, we have a technical glitch on the Cam Notes page, working now to correct it. Also in the shuffle of getting the daily pictures uploaded, we apparently trampled on some of the regulars. It was unintentional.

Today's favorite...2005 Bare Bluff! That's how it looked the first time I made that hike.
Breath-taking!

I loved Bare Bluff also, Alex. Where exactly is that?

I agree with you Alex! Whether by truck or by boat, it really is "breath-taking"! My dad's (grampa Norm)ashes were spread in front of Bare Bluff in a 100ft. of the cleanest/clearest lake Superior water. It's one of my favorite spots to check out everytime I'm in the Keweenaw.

Deb, You can see it from Bete Gries/Lac La Belle or Hike to it from the Smith fisheries road.

Deb...Physically speaking, it is a medium intensity hike and although the trail is marked fairly well, I don't know if I could make it now.

UC...more power to ya for still being able to hike it!

All this talk of hiking is giving me pain in the old joints.:( God bless all of you who can still do it.:) Looks to be a beautiful day in southern Ohio...no rain in the forecast!

Alex, Hike it,LOL! I ride shotgun with Marty in his Nissan Xterra Pro-4X with our diet Coke's and a bag of Jack Links Hot/Sweet beef Jerky! We take the back trails from Copper Harbor and Hit High Rock Bay, Keystone, then the bluff and Lac La Belle. It's really a nice ride if you like Marty's music selection of Stevie Rayvaughn, which I do most of the time, but he could mix in a little MTB for his pal once in awhile! lol Oh well, back to work here at my desk today.

I climbed the trail to Bare Bluff once and heard the strangest thing....... two guys in an suv with "Crossfire" blaring through the forest!! J

All these trails and hiking are good for all our people in the U.P., with memories as long as our Winters, we come to understand that survival is a full time job and lifetime career
