Second Post
Not quite as big, but definitely rocks.

Yes, 2008 in this fine slideshow.

Good point Dunerat ~ depends on what you mean by 'big'

All of them...plant Earth :-)

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 08:30 am:

Love the bear picture! We haven't seen one this time yet. Love it when we come across one of them. But Mama deer keeps showing up at my mom's at least 5 times a day!! She's absolutely gorgeous to watch and not the least bit afraid of us. Fun stuff!

Leaving tomorrow :-(

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 09:01 am:

Deb...a new pet perhaps? Just throw Ms. Rudolph in the back seat. :-)

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 10:05 am:

Would love to, Alex, but she's huge!! Up until a couple of weeks ago, I guess she was VERY pregnant. This doe comes back every year, and she usually has 2 or 3 fawns with her. They're so darn cute. Maybe we could fit baby Rudolph?????

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 10:19 am:

Deb, with mama deer around, don't think I'd want to try that. I've heard deer can really be fierce (ie: deadly) with those hooves.

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 10:30 am:

That reminds me of a funny story that surfaced at least 10-15 years ago about a 9-1-1 caller who hit a dear on the road. He thought it was dead so he put it in the back seat of his car, but the deer came round and started tearing up both him and the car’s interior. Of course, every other word by the caller to the police was expletive deleted on the radio...too, funny.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 10:58 am:

LOL!, Alex, if that had happened to me, that deer would've owned that car. :<

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 12:15 pm:

There is a interesting article in today's Duluth Tribune about a farmer walked out of his house to finish field work and a 8 pt. buck attacked him in his yard by the house. Beat the farmer up pretty good, but the buck was no match to the farmer's rifle.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 12:32 pm:

Good thing I read that twice Janie; I thought you said the deer was no match for the farmer's wife.....

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 01:09 pm:

Capt, had the story been that, the murder weapon would probably been a rolling pin, or her bare hands!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 06:53 pm:

lol! Capt. Paul, you and I must suffer from the same reading disability.....honestly, when I first read Janie's post, I saw 'wife' too.
Maybe we're speed readers.....or lazy readers.:)

By Alex "UP-Goldwinger" (Alex) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 09:01 pm:

If I were the wife, I would have just told the buck off or bribed him with a little doe.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 10:40 pm:

If you were the wife Alex, I'd be frightened!!!

By Uncle Chuck (Unclechuck) on Friday, August 10, 2012 - 11:33 pm:

I would have let him see the end of my 44 mag. & a wad cutter hollow point!
