On a recent camping trip to Lake Gogebic, with his son and daughter-in-law, Robert Schwarzkopf was dubbed the official photographer, so he preserved the fun times for the family to remember. The adventures began with throwing sticks in Presque Isle River for the dogs to fetch. That one they're bringing in must have been a heavy one, since it took both of them working together to get it back to shore. :->

Experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so the Schwarzkopf family made sure they had a good one to fuel themselves for all the fun things they'd be doing later in the day. Looks like pancakes, sausage and bacon...I think I can smell it cooking right now.

A trip to the Adventure Mine was on their list of things to do. The boys look like they're all set with their sweatshirts to keep them warm and the lighted hardhats to show them the way. Little did the boys know they were really learning something about the history of mining in Ontonagon County. And all along, they thought they were just going on a fun adventure.

The littlest one of the family got to wet her toes in Lake Superior and that in itself was quite an adventure for such a little girl. By the look on her face I bet she was wondering why Mom didn't make that bath water warmer for her. That's the way, start them off young enjoying the wonders of the Big Lake.

Any camping trip wouldn't be complete without an early morning wake-up, so that you can really enjoy the quiet and beauty of the U.P. with a brilliant sunrise peeking through the trees at you. A great way to start any camping adventure for sure.

Great pictures taken today! Adventure Mine is a place from the past for a trip. Make a day of it in Ontonagon County. A lot of sights to see, Porcupine Mountain State Park. falls, Lake of the Clouds. A glorious place to discover!

Looks like a wonderful UP camping adventure! The dogs sure are not complaining, having a good time in the water. We take our Scotties on our get aways as well! Good for everybody's soul!

The doggies believe in 'share and share alike'. Looks like that little fella has a 'water-witching' stick. With all that water, it must've shaken like crazy.:)
