Good morning from MN. It's gonna be another hot week here and then on Saturday we leave for the UP. I hate the week of deciding what to pack. You just never know with the weather UP there. Sure do hope we have a beautiful week for spending on the shores of that gorgeous lake.

I took E69 to the end where there was what looked like a church dome and a memorial in the parking lot...couldn't read what it said though. Looks like some desolate county. Would not want to run out of gas :-(

I am currently sitting under that dome you speak of Alex, peering out over the Arctic Ocean as I write this message. It is very desolate country here, this is the arctic tundra after-all!! We have been seeing lots of reindeer (caribou) on the way up here as well; however, none of them have had a red nose.....

Tomorrow we start heading back through Finland and Sweden where we have a great chance of seeing a moose or two along the way, then back to Stockholm to catch our flight back.

Yeah, Dunerat, it is more of a turquoise. Maybe the Capt. can come up with a reason for that.;-)

Unfortunately, the fog rolled in at Nordkapp this evening, so no chance of seeing the midnight sun; however, we did shoot a few pics (including the one below) last night from our little B&B in Repvag that show just how light it is here at 12:45 a.m. Once we get back, I'll be posting most of the photos in my "Guest Gallery" page for all to see....

That is a beautiful scene, but not sure I could stand all that daylight....I'm one of those who likes total darkness when I sleep.
