Another month comes to an end, which means that we take this last day to remember those friends and family who have passed on before us. This month we hold the following folks in our memories:

I'm remembering my favorite cat, Tippy, who had to be put down on Saturday. I know he was an animal, but he was special to a lot of people.

I miss you Murphy B

In memory of my Mother, Janet Dube, who passed Jan.30 this year. Family and friends gathered this weekend to honor her life and remember 80 years of experiences and adventures. She was a very special passionate soul who had the ability to express herself through poetry. Several of her poems written specifically about those who touched her life were read aloud at the memorial providing a deeper insight into her being. Amazingly, these readings seemed to bring those attending even closer together in realizing what is really important in this short time that we have together. A sincere thank you to all who gathered. Until later, Mom, we all love you.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

But be not burdened with times of sorrow,

My life's been full. I've savored much,
Good friends, good times and loved ones'
touch.

oh how beautiful. Makes me think that maybe God is shining His light upon us.....I am thinking about my mom today as tomorrow will be her one year anniversary in heaven. She had a rough life on earth......I visualize her with a mansion in heaven........

Remembering Kenny Pasanen, one of our original pasty team at Still Waters. He and Grace Lamotte appeared in that Newsweek photo back in 2004, which introduced pasties to thousands.

In memory of my Grandfather, Roman Kowalski, my uncles Frank and Bob Kowalski.

In memory of my mother, Kathleen Hill, who would have been 88 years old today. She's been gone nine years, but I still miss her very much.

Donna thank you for the beautiful poem. I'd love to copy it for my own funeral....I believe today is Sharon Smith's birthday. Happy birthday Sharon. I faithfuly follow your journal. Ifeel you and I have a lot in common. I also share your life with cats. Aren't they wonderful companions and friends in their own ways?

Remembering Roland "Bud" Revello of Vulcan. He and Carla loved to dance. His Memorial service will be next Sat. in Norway at the Evangelical Covenant Church. He fought the cancer as long as he could. He's with our Lord in a much better place.

I would like to add a very special person in my life Vi Nippa ,102, who passed away this spring. A sweet gentle lady, who helped a young veterinarian learn the ways of a big city. She was a sweetheart to all who met her. She was my dad's sister.

Sorry I missed this yesterday....spent the day in the ER. But I'd like to add my remembrance today....of my sweet, loving and kind husband, Frank, who went 'home' to be the Lord last year. Time doesn't heal all wounds, unfortunately.

Remembering Cory Batz, who passed away July 31,
2012 at the age of 16, following a brave battle with
lymphoma. He was a student at the same HS as my
daughter. Prayers are especially requested for his
parents, Dale & Michele; Cory was their only child.
