Very nice selection!

Watersmeet is such an interesting name. There is a beautiful historic Federal-style house by that name near Leiper's Fork, TN; the town where my grandparents lived. The house was built by a veteran of the Civil War.

It's been a crazy, wonderful time for my huge family since Thursday. The last of my nieces married Saturday. Beautiful wedding too! Everyone is heading back to their homes all over the U.S. now. It was quality time, but that's how this family rolls!

Shirley,we were not touched by the storm that hit Tampa. I
hope your granddaughter is ok and that she had no property
damage. We have had a lot of rain this past week but,of
course,this is the rainy season so we expect rain.

Erica, so glad to hear it! Grandaughter said torrential rain all day yesterday with more expected today. She lives in an apt. so no property damage. Hope it moves out soon!

So glad for Erica and Shirley's grandaughter. "Debby" was a brutal storm front.

Sure hope it dissipates.

Nice weather here, low 70s during the day and high 40s at night. Won't last, getting more hot weather. I'd rather shovel snow than have that heat. :)

Happy my brother is (sort of) out of danger. In CO Springs. Fire seems to be moving away from Garden of the Gods where his house is. That said, as far as I know, it's still 0% contained and is headed for the Air Force Academy. Last I heard I think it was 6500 acres burned. I lived there for 3.5 years and have a lot of friends there. I cant say that I don't wish I was there. Prayers appreciated!

Correction: it sounds like 3400 acres were burned. Much less then originally stated. Praise the Lord for that.

Paul, thank God, your brother is out of danger..will offer a prayer for him and all the others. I love Colorado and hate to see what's happened to that beautiful state. Seems so many disasters happening lately. Very sad.

Erica----I'm now living full time (no longer a snow bird) south of Ocala, FL. It has been raining for 3 days, some light some heavy. In 24 hours I caught 12" in a bucket in my yard. We sorely need rain but not all at once. When Debby moves westward we should get back to normal.

Richard, have you started your ark yet? Wish we could get some rain from Debby, very dry in the Ohio Valley!!
