You're busy this morning, Deb. ;) Speaking of bats, have any of you ever seen a bat house? Had never heard of such a thing until our daughter-in-law asked my husband to build one for our son, which he did and it's very unique.

Shirley--I also was instructed to have a bat house by my daughter. They are wonderful. I was told by a game biologist that each bat eats about 6,000 mosquitoes each night. Of course it was too dark most nights to count them. Had one in my yard for years.

When I build a bat house I rub raw hamburger in the inside before I put it together. I was told that the hamburger attracts the bats. Works because mine have full occupancy. So do my birdhouses.

Bat houses and butterfly houses are two things I wished I had. Both remarkable creatures!

Alex, can't stop laughing! Am I the only one that got it??? Shows how old we are. :)
