Good Morning Pasty People! Love today's review. Going in today for pre surgery tests for tomorrow's thyroid surgery. Finally I'm on the road to better health after 3 1/2 months of tests, blood work and exams!

Wrong type of "Doc" in 2006.

I remember that the bakery in Copper Harbor would give away free passes to the bear pit. There customers where so happy, until they found out it was the dump. Most times more people then bears. aka the people pit.

Nice and cool today, I think the flies have listened to my "No Fly Zone" request.
The garden is planted, 4 tomato plants, 11 pepper plants, cucumbers, onions and beets. No frost in the forecast.
It's strange living here, during the day we have cooler temps than inland, during the night, we have warmer temps than inland.
Love this place.

"Good Afternoon", Hollidays it is called sausage gravy. When I behave myself the wife makes it for breakfast once in a while. When my brother-in -law comes up from N.Carolnia he brings us some "Neese's" sausage.So far it seem's the best. Living in Tennessee for 25 years before comming back home, I tried some food's that are awsome and some that isn't. I wonder if any one has tried chocolate gravy ? It sure is good over some home made butter milk biscuts. Now I'am getting hungry. Janie, Good luck tommorrow, I'll keep you in my prayers.

Thank You everyone for the well wishes!! I appreciate them!! I was doing pretty well with this until I learned today I will have a drain tube in my throat........ugh, gross! This might be the thing that can tame me down!

Janie, I don't consider yours and others' topics as clutter, after all it states that this page is for "other topics, conversations and announcements." Praying that all goes well with your surgery. Hope you won't have to have the tube for long and will be back working with your horses soon. :)

Janie, send me an email, I've had thyroid surgery and had the tube. It really wasn't too bad and only for a few days I think. I wish you a sucessful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Dean, my mother in law is from the south and she used to make the chocolate gravy and buttermilk biscuits. I learned how to make them, but rarely make the chocolate gravy anymore.

JH and Dean, I was born and raised in the south and had never heard of chocolate gravy until my husband said they ate it in his family when he was a child. Still haven't tried it...but I love sausage gravy, Hollidays!

I apologize if I am cluttering up the "what's up" page. I agree with Shirley I thought this page was for other topics of conversation. I would hate to have to read separate pages for get well wishes, happy birthdays, weather, etc.

So much for making a simple (and useful) suggestion. K

It's okay Capt. I knew what you meant. We were told that if we wanted to carry on conversations, or start a recipe page, etc., that we were to do it on a separate page, which is why Charlie made "Politics, religion &n other stuff". Maybe people just forgot!

Janie don't fuss about that tube down the throat. It'll probably be like when one has a colonoscopy...they give you something so you won't even know they're doing the tube. It's for them to be able to work without you gag reflex kicking in. You'll be fine and back in no time. Good luck and God is with you the whole time!

I know this will probably be deleted.....but why not start a page for Janie T. medical updates, that people can check on her progress. ;O)

Mickell, your heart is in the right place, I'm hoping though after today I'm done with medical attention, live the rest of my life out healthy! lol!

Mickill, I think that Janie's medical updates are important, and not something to be pushed aside. But that's only my opinion.

Definitely wishing her the best and with her in spirit!

As long as there is another page avaliable, I still feel the way I feel. GOD only knows I have been going through something and I often wanted to put something out here but, never did. Anyway-----

Went through something terrible too mickill but didn't want to drag anyone down. Cancer is worse than anything.
