If I'm reading that right, I'm hoping it's a blacksmith museum.

Have a super Friday!

Sad to say, out of all the years of coming up here and now living here, I have never stopped at that blacksmith museum. I will have to do something about that. ;O)

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, June 1, 2012 - 09:26 am:

North Entry splash is great, but the geologist/mapmaker in me loves the historic map in 2008. And to think, the early explorers to the region used those map to navigate.....

My maternal great-grandfather (Josephus Sweeney, born 1842) was a carpenter who also operated a blacksmith shop in Leiper's Fork, TN.

The first impression of the North Entry photo is of the opening background of a beautiful ballet. And soft undulating music in the background. How peaceful and glorious!

Spoken like a true artist, Kay!

Kind of a trick question. The Blacksmith shop is located on (or near) the Eagle River at Phoenix.

Want a quick and good supper tonight? Try this;

Brown 1/2 pound of bacon chopped:
add, 1/2 cup onion chopped, 1/2 cup green pepper chopped, 1/4 cup of red peppers, chopped, 1/4 cup fresh jalapeno peppers chopped, stir till brown. Add a 1 lb, 12 oz, can of plum tomatoes, garlic powder, chicken bouillon, chili powder, cumin, red hot pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Simmer for a few hours, meanwhile, cook two cups of rice. When the sauce is ready, stir in the rice and cook slowly for at least 1/2 hour.

Beautiful weather today, hope it stays cool, hate those flies. I've declared my house as a "No Fly Zone" but they aren't listening.

Wayyyyy to spicy for me. Sounds great though.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Friday, June 1, 2012 - 06:38 pm:

"No Fly Zone"...lol, that's funny, Hollidays!
Your recipe sounds yummy to me except I'd leave out the jalapeno and red hot pepper flakes.
What time do we eat? :9

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Friday, June 1, 2012 - 06:50 pm:

Too spicy for me also!

By mickill mouse (Ram4) on Friday, June 1, 2012 - 08:08 pm:

A can of cream-of mushroom soup, left over chicken, some pimentos. If you have any kind of left-over corn or peas or mixed vegtables, throw them in. Heat it up and have it over buttered toast or rice or even potatoes. Bill likes some parmasian cheese over his.

By Capt. Paul (Eclogite) on Friday, June 1, 2012 - 08:47 pm:

Sounds like a recipe for disaster later that night if you ask me.... :-P

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 05:05 pm:

You have to have a strong stomach, Capt.! :)
