Here are the shots from this morning, taken near the places where Mr. Reeder stood. The first is near the pier, with some of the old support posts still visible:
The other angle was more difficult to line up, because of the abundance of trees today where there were none in 1928:You may recall last week I used the intersection of the roof lines to find the approximate perspective. This week the pier was the first point of reference (though I probably should have been a bit more to the right, angled more to the west). The second clue was the angle of their shadows. The sun is not very high in the east, so I just kept walking from the pier - at the mouth of the river - until I could see the buildings and curve of the horizon (barely) through the trees.
