Each year, the Ontonagon St. Vincent de Paul Society holds a fashion show and Joe Kirkish was on hand to document the event for us all to share in. Joe tells me that models choose their own outfits, then sell them at give-away prices, with just about half the models keeping (and paying for) their outfits themselves. Cost of admission was $5 for pie & coffee - and the pleasure of enjoying the 2-hour style show.

Several interesting tidbits of information about the photos and the event:
~ The lady in yellow with the microphone, is Jan Tucker of WMPL radio fame.
~ That wedding gown behind Jan, sold for $99. Two of the models who are getting married soon, fought over it. It was a new gown, given to St. Vinnie's for charity, worth about $600 regularly.

With all the smiles captured by Joe, it sure looks like it was great fun and a wonderful way to raise money!

They just did something like that out here too. Everybody had a great time. Looks like fun!!! And what a nice charity!! The little girls are adorable!

As i sit here in 44 degree weather with my long sleeve shirt on that I bought at the SALVATION ARMY STORE in Monroe, Mi for $2.00.

Those 2 fellas look like kids in a candy store :-p
