According to MI State Police, Mackinac Bridge is closed now. Ice formations on the cables dropping onto the roads.

Hollidays, I just looked at the Mackinac Bridge cam, and you're right, there's no traffic. The road surface looks terrible.

On this date in 1902, my mama was born. She went to be with the Lord in June 1989. As a mama, she was the best!

The Stewart J Cort is riding at anchor southwest of us about two miles offshore. Probably waiting for a space to open up in Muskegon.

I can't imagine the Big Mac shutting down for that long. Wonder how many people cross that bridge just to get to work. It's "hairy" enough crossing it with a big wind let alone big chunks of ice dropping.
