Good morning from very chilly Minnesota. I think the weatherman switched March and April around!!

Have a great day, everybody! It's HUMP DAY!!!

By Steve Haagen (Radsrh) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 08:00 am:

good morning

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 08:56 am:

I think you're right, Deb, it's 28F on my backporch thermometer this morning, and we've really been having March winds lately!

Very nice set of pics!

By Pat & Glenda (Gormfrog) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 12:22 pm:

The way people find fault, you'd think there was a reward, but anyway, today's "Day In History", for the 11th, is set on the 8th again??

By Pat & Glenda (Gormfrog) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 12:24 pm:

Sorry, actually it is the 9th again...

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 01:41 pm:

Charlie says "April 11th" (Day in History) on mine, Gormfrog.

Ooops, see below!

This "Day in History" link ...

Day in History

... on this page is still the one for April 9th!

By Hollidays (Hollybranches) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 04:32 pm:

Charlie, you need a vacation. Go to Italy and eat pasta, not pasties. :)

Yooper Joe is on another pain pill. He's still having fun and we're making sure he is in no pain. It won't be much longer and it's breaking my heart. He will be nine on June 13th. Praying he makes his birthday, got a doggie "Angry Bird" for him. :)

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 04:48 pm:

Hollidays; it is heart breaking. It's never easy and one never can accept no matter how many times one has been through this. I am so sorry!

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 04:55 pm:

Brimley is a new dog with his sight back. He goes in to the Vet Monday. He has some type of skin infection that possibly his diabetes is not allowing to clear up. So he is going to be tested for Cushings Disease. I am Praying so hard he does not have that as these two Endocrine conditions at the same time, well, it's just not good.

By Marianne Y (Marianne) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 05:21 pm:

I am really sorry to hear that Yooper Joe is having a rough time of it! As Janie says, it is never a good time to watch a beloved pet slip away. Take care, Hollidays, of both you and Yooper Joe. I hope he can enjoy some of the spring weather when it warms up again, with you all.

Janie, I am really sorry that Brimley has a new problem. I'm really happy that he has his sight back, and I have my fingers crossed for you that this is not a new endocrine condition. Those are not fun at all, whether they are in people or in pets!

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 07:12 pm:

Hollidays and Janie, so very sorry to hear that your precious little doggies are having a rough go of it. Prayers and hugs all around.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 07:13 pm:

All this bad news about our pets. I always feel so bad when I hear that someone's pet is having a hard time. Janie, I hope that Brimley does not have Cushings. And Joanie, I hope that Joey's last days are comfortable for him and a time you will remember forever. It's hard to lose our pets. They become our family. We have a cat who I don't think will be with us a lot longer. But he keeps hanging in and he's always purring so I know he's still very happy. I hope he's with us much longer.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 07:22 pm:

Deb, my "Tippy" is 12-1/2 years old and acts like a kitten. Spoiled rotten?....whatayou talking about. :>
I still grieve for our last kitty, "Pete", who was hit by a car 13 years ago.

By Janie T. (Bobbysgirl) on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - 07:24 pm:

Our furry family members have such a sophisticated way of keeping their health issues so far from their hearts. They put so much more value into their short time with us, than people do in their lengthier lives.

By Deb S. (Usedtobeayooper) on Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 08:02 am:

Shirley, our cat is also named Tippy. He is 15 and plays like he's a kitten also.

I still think about all of our pets who have moved on to the next world. They were like my kids.

By Shirley Waggoner (Shirlohio) on Thursday, April 12, 2012 - 09:41 am:

Yeah, Deb, I noticed on your 'profile' sometime ago, that you also have a Tippy. 15 years old???.....omigosh!:O
