Great innovation is usually a combination of good ideas applied in new and creative ways to produce amazing advances in technology! Toivo from Toivola was inspired by recents reports of human hotspots and portable power chargers...

These images blended in Toivo's noggin' with the memories of countless hours spent in the deer blind - when he could be catching up on his email if only there was Internet access! How to deliver broadband to the remotest regions of the U.P.?? Consulting with the high-tech gurus over at Pasty.NET, yesterday our enterprising Yooper finished this patent-pending prototype above... so new it doesn't even have a name!

Toivo hopes to start production with the help of Calumet-Keweenaw Sportsmen's Club and Keweenaw County Repeater Association. He's also wondering if Pasty Cam watchers can come up wit ideas for a marketing roll-out this month (features, benefits, disclaimers) to reach U.P. neighborhoods still saddled with dial-up (or no phone lines at all). Any ideas?

That first photo looks like my back field where the deer 'live', however I've never seen one of 'my' deer with a contraption like that on its back. ;D

Like Alex and his cell phone, I'm wondering where I'd plug in my laptop? It only lasts about two hours on battery, ya know. Maybe Toivo could think up some ways of extending the electrical grid out to all those trees, too.
