Mich Tech closed at 3 pm today due to "a severe winter storm"! I don't remember that happening when my oldest son was up there from 2003 to 2008! It is snowing pretty hard. He will be delighted with all of the snow. He's as excited as a little kid, lol.

Well, the whole UP just about shut down today over the snow. In Ontonagon, we "only" got maybe 5 inches. It's funny, when a system comes from anywhere except the lake, no one knows what is going to happen. Our warning is over at 1:00am, we shall see how much more we get. It's a beautiful wet snow and a beautiful winter wonderland today. I would rather have this then the tornadoes south of us. Hoping for the best for the states that got hit.

You're right, Hollidays, it's been rough for some of the states 'down here', however in my area we got off pretty easy, but a bit hard on the nerves.....just a series of 'moving' storms.
Wanted to comment on today's photos...they're all beautiful and unique in their own way, but I really love Jon Hopper's....looks like a painting.
