Haven't been on here for a while, bet some of you are glad. :) I have been winning my battle with cancer but my doggie, Yooper Joe, is losing. He's home now and living in a 5 star resort. Now, maybe you know why I have an attitude problem.
They move right on into our hearts and win us over with their unequalled love and they are without a doubt mankinds best friend.

Hollybranches - I'm so sorry about your precious friend. I, too, have Westies and I think they are so special, loving, lively and clever personalities, that they should be their own species. I know that providing the 5-star resort is a comfort to you both.

Hollidays, I do understand the worry and fret of an illness of a pet. I have been on a 6 month up and down roller coaster ride with my one Scotty with his diabetes. Have to remain positive and upbeat because they can sense your anxieties and fear and that can cause more stress on them. No matter the degree of illness, our pets always work so hard not to let it effect their little hearts of gold! Brimley is improving and his glucose readings are getting much better, still hoping the day will come very soon that he can get his readings down to a safe level for his cataract surgery to happen to regain his sight once again. His hair is growing back now. I am so Thankful in my Prayers have been heard, but there are illness' that can trigger from diabetes, heart, liver, and kidney failure is some of them. It's a day to day treatment. I send my most sincere thoughts and wishes to you and Joey!

Oh how I hate to hear that Yooper Joe is so sick, Hollidays. That's enough to cause an 'attitude problem', but hey, I never noticed....I alwsys find you fun and refreshing! I know that little Joey is going to get that 5-star treatment from you and your family. Warm hugs to you and the little Yooper!

Janie, I also am so sorry to hear that Brimley is having 'ups and downs', diabetes is a terrible disease in both our 'canine loves' and our 'human loves'. And you're right about the 'triggered illnesses'. The love of my life went through all of that. But I believe he's now enjoying a better life!
