Normally here UP North, the winters are long and cold, so Brenda Leigh and friends have some unique ways to make the winter months fun. You've seen the photos she's shared of the trek into the cabin in the woods, but today's photos show us one of the fun things these gals do to pass the time, when they aren't skiing or snowshoeing. It's Piñata fun, bearing a likeness of Brenda in disguise for the face. To play, they spin the person with the bat, around and around and then let her loose to swing at the Piñata to try to break it open for the goodies inside. In the third photo, the Chicklets were caught in mid-air by the camera, as they fell from the ripped open belly. Then of course there has to be a candy scramble, with everyone on the ground, trying to grab the most. Looks like fun and a good reminder that we should all get out there and play like kids do. It's good for whatever ails you!

Brenda, you seriously crack me up! You know how to have a good time! You even make me wish I could be there, and that's something since I don't really enjoy the snowy winter months!

Two rules for pinata smashing: Don't be the first one in when the candy starts to fall-there is still a bat wielding,blind folded menace at large;and, put some sort of tether on that bat! (Don't ask me how I know these things.)

I noticed the rigging holding up the head in the first photo...quite the elaborate setup.
I chuckled thinking about some poor lost soul wandering into the yard, asking for directions and seeing that head. I can hear him say as he's hurriedly walking away: That's OK ladies…I'll find my own way back. :-)

what the occasion ? drinkn or somebody tieing the knot ?
