Good morning, Starting to feel like spring here. Coming to the eastern UP in a couple of weeks hope it has thawed a little.

Morning...had to turn on the ac in my car on the way to work. Since I came back from up north the azaleas and hybiscus burst into bloom down here. As I heard the birds chirping outside my window this morning, I missed the feel of spring in Michigan, but I didnt' miss the long long wait for it.

Spam?

I got an email from "eagleharbortwp.org" saying "Re: thank you for delivery"

I hadn't sent anything to Eagle Harbor. I didn't open it since it might be a virus or worm or whatever.

It came to my yahoo email which I only use here. Have any of you also gotten this?

Mary says: DO NOT OPEN IT, YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. After doing a bit of internet sleuthing, I found some info that this is most likely a mass mailing worm. You can read about it on Symantec Security Response, which is the webpage for Norton Antivirus, etc. Here's a link: Symantec Security Response
It's one of those nasties called spoofing, where the worm or virus grabs an email address from an infected computer to make it look like it's sent from that person (in this case eagleharbortwp.org), then grabs another email address to send it to (again, in this case maijaMI's address).

RCW and Mrs. RCW: THANK YOU for the picture of the "stone steps" on the Hancock end of The Bridge posted on Monday's What's Up! You are such kind people to go snap a picture! And I, too, am grateful you did not stop!!

I have a vague memory of someone telling me the steps were built as a WPA project in the late 1930s.

By FRNash/PHX, AZ on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 - 02:24 am:

" is there a walkway across the Bridge?"
There sure is ... I've walked it many times in my years at "da Tech" (MTU) without a set of wheels!
