In case you missed the moon-set this morning on Sharon Smith's Copper Harbor Cam:

A View from the Field
It was my pleasure last week to snowshoe the mile and a half round trip to Sharon's place north (east) of Copper Harbor, and fix the computer which has delivered this view for a number of years.

That hump near the middle of the horizon is the "nose" of Brockway. Earlier this week, John Wrycza sent us the view from way-up-there looking back toward Sharon's. I'm going to try to upload it here, and you may have to scroll to the right to see the whole thing:

Man, if I could find a job up there I'd be there (after I sold my house...)

incredable pictures...

PEWABIC ALL SCHOOL REUNION

Did you attend the old Pewabic School? If so, on Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Quincy FireHall, there will be an informal reunion of ALL who attended the school. Right now the goal is to create a guest list of people we can contact about the event. Your part in this is to send along an e-mail to:
hmchamber@webtv.net (Helen Aittama Chamberlain), with names and addresses, if you have any, of others you remember who attended the school when you did.

THANKS, and really looking forward to seeing you at the Pewabic School reunion.

HAPPY EASTER!

Charlie you make me sorry we moved south - but health reasons dictated the move - sure do miss the scenes, but your site does help ease the pain. Keep up the good work.

Wow! Some vista you have. Just a couple of
months until we head to the UP to open up the
cottage. We only stay for the long week-end
but it's worth the twelve hour drive from
Toronto each way. Then the cottage is ready
for our three- four week stay later in the
summer.

Somehow freighters just look more authentic
to me on Lake Superior than they do on Lake
Ontario.
