If you've been following High School Hockey this season on Pasty.NET, you heard Hancock wrap up the regional championship yesterday afternoon, by edging past Calumet 1-0 on a short-handed goal. The K-Bear 102 announcers who call the action are Mr. Norm (left) and Jimmy the Greek, Jr. I caught up with them yesterday high in the press box at Michigan Tech's SDC.

Norm and Jimmy
Good luck to the Hancock Bulldogs as they face Big Rapids next Wednesday in the Soo. Also the Houghton Gremlins have advanced in Boy's Basketball, and could earn a trip to the State finals.

For all the live U.P. High School sports broadcasts, stay tuned to Pasty.NET: hockey from K-Bear and basketball from WMPL.

Hi,
this is my first visit to this site. I had the pleasure of visiting Calumet and the Copper Country over ten years ago with the County of Cornwall Male Choir. I still have contacts there and would love to be able to visit in 2007 but circumctances and my wife's poor health are against that I'm afraid. I have lots of friends in the Holman Climax Choir and wish them well on their visit. I think your Pasty.net website is one of the best on the internet. Keep up the good work. Greetings from all in Troon, Camborne Cornwall UK

sur5er, What is your educational background? You speak foreign languages too!

By sur5er on Monday, March 7, 2005 - 02:03 pm:

Just Curious,

I have an associate degree in criminal justice...and another associate degree in corrections. I also have a bachelor's degree with a major in criminology and a minor in psychology...and another bachelor's degree with a major in corrections and a minor in social work/ sociology. Can you tell that I love to learn? :)

And here all this time, people have thought that folks in law enforcement majored in coffee and donuts 101 :)

In regards to the Finnish: http://efe.scape.net/

By curious on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 - 05:46 am:

Are you still actively in law enforcement?

By sur5er on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 - 10:09 am:

Curious,

Currently I work with crime victims at the law enforcement and criminal justice level.

By curious. on Thursday, March 10, 2005 - 05:49 am:

We need more police on the roads today. If more tickets were given out and some of the trash vehicles on the road were removed, I think there would be fewer accidents, not to mention the drive by shootings and all the other break ins. It's awful what is going on in the world today.
