Congratulations to Coach Rouleau and his Hancock Bulldogs for a well-fought hockey season which has led them to the State Quarterfinals tonight in Sault Ste. Marie. Pasty.NET will be there along with K-Bear 102.3 FM (see Sunday's What'sUP) as the pre-game gets started just before 7 pm.
Today's Pasty Cam by Donn de Yampert captures the intensity of concentration by the players and coaching staff. You can find more of the drama and action of local U.P. sports in Donn's gallery at www.deyampert.com
The other gentleman on the far right of the front row in today's picture has appeared on the Pasty Cam before. Dan Joupperi, assistant coach, stood up for Bryan Howard as he married the Pasty Girl, Becky (Hopper) Howard, a few years back.
Good luck tonight to the Bulldogs!

Hi to all you yoopers, My dad was one back in 1905 to 1920,He came from Dollar Bay. The Martin Family,5 boys and 2 girls. But what I really want to know is: A friend of mine told about mixing Karol surup and something else.and then pouring it in the clean snow . After it froze they would take it out and eat it like candy and it was very sweet. Can any of you tell me what the ingredients were. Would appreciate it. Oh yes , My fathers name was Ray, and his brothers were Rudy,Roy,Robert, and Ralph. The girls names were Sigred and Inga. Inga married Sy Clements.

GO HANCOCK! Cute story... My 86 year old mother just called me from Hancock to tell me that I can 'get the game from your internet... Pasty dot net' she said. LOL... I am still chuckling. She said she was listening to the game and she would talk to me later... :) She is a HUGE hockey fan! A lot of Houles have been on the ice. I would have loved to go to the Soo today to see the game but work and other issues prevented me from traveling. I'll root for them to win and move on up in the rankings so that I can see them play in Plymouth this weekend tho right? GO BULLDOGS! Wooooooo Hooooooooo...

A well-fought game tonight on Pasty.NET. The Bulldogs can be proud of a fine season, as can all of the Copper Country teams, where hockey is such a solid tradition.
