Good morning everyone. :) We got a little dusting of snow last night...but now it is melting. Please don't tell me that this is a sign that winter is almost over. Bring on the big snow storms, not these little itsy bitsy snow dustings ;)

Back to work I go, this morning...I have paperwork scattered all over my desk and my office floor...and any surface that will hold paperwork, for that matter. This past weekend, hubby played Mr. Mom so I could tackle paperwork. ;)

Mary, I hope you are enjoying your well deserved vacation...soak up some rays and surf for all of us.

What do you do, sur5er? Last year I requested that all the pasty cammers tell us their profession and I meant to print it out.

By sur5er on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 - 01:18 pm:

Marsha,

I worked in the field of victimology at the law enforcement level...and authored crime victim/domestic violence programs for our local police department and prosecutor's office in Michigan. Best way to explain law enforcement victimology: an extension of a police officer who guides the victim through all the steps of the criminal justice process, and advocates for them.

Currently, I work out of my home...and via the computer (where would we be without them), I continue to assist crime victims. Hope to be able to find a police department within the next few years that has a crime victim unit in the UP, so I can finally head home. ;)

Mary, hope you have a great time in Brunswick. If you can try a day trip south to Jacksonville and maybe on to St Augustine. Thanks for keeping cam notes up while you are on vacation.

Sherry, Actually we plan on spending at least a day in the historic town of St. Augustine, before heading further south into Florida. That's not until next week though...thanks for the good wishes! :->

Many years ago I use to race in the Brockway Mountain cross
country ski challenge. according to some web pages this race is
still going on and was scheduled for February 12 of this year
(2005).

Just wondering, did it happen??
How was the turnout??
Are the race results posted anywhere?
Anyone attend and perhaps take some photos?

Thanks

Rick

A no sweater day here in San Jose today. Out in the sun, soaking up some rays with a good book on Global Warming. After the West Coast has been pounded with high winds and heavy rains, it was really great to have a nice sunny warm day.

By Kevin K, Lodi, Ca on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 - 02:00 am:

Hi Beverly, How have you been.
It was also warm and sunny here in the valley.
We just closed on a house up in the foothills and will be moving to Valley Springs in about a week. Looking forward to not being "Stuck in Lodi again." A half acre of paradise with a clear view looking down into the Valley. Nothing but the sounds of frogs and the coyotes to put us to sleep.

By Beverly, San Jose on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 - 03:32 pm:

Hi Kevin
Congratulations on the new home. Where is Valley Springs? Does it overlook Lodi? I also live high up on a mountain that overlooks San Jose, and hear the crickets and frogs and the mournful call of the coyotes, also get the occasional deer and wild turkeys and wild boar that come in and tear up the golf coarse.
