Hey, I have a question for any pasty-cammers in the Northern lower, specifically the Cheboygan area (Therese from just under the bridge?). I'm coming up to Cheboygan tomorrow & I was wondering about the snow conditions.

I'm in Cadillac, and we received an inch of fresh snow yesterday... our previous snow was getting spotty in sunny areas. I think the Cheboygan area got some nice accumulation yesterday and this morning if the weathermen got it right...

downstate don, yes the snow reminds me of the skating and sledding we did out at Kensington Park in the winters. We came home to hot chocolate and toast. It's been in the 70's here almost all week...a bit chilly tonight, but a great weekend in store. Might hit the State Fair Sunday. Nice hearing from you. Throw a snowball for me; I'll be watching for it.

I have a question for the non-Yoopers who bring their cell phones when coming back up north. Who do you have and what kind of signal do you get? I had my Sprint phone that got NO service, not even roaming. If I was lucky, I could make a call, but I never once received one. We've been looking into switching, and would like to get one that will work up there. I know that Alltel actually sells phones up there now, so for those of you who live up there, what has your experience been with Alltel? Thanks!

I haven't had much luck with my Nextel in the UP either. Check with Cingular...I think that is the name of the cell phone providers one of my friends has, and she had no problem getting a signal in the UP.

Yaaaaaaaaahoooooooooooo...predictions of up to 6 inches of snow in norhtern Indiana this weekend. I know, that doesn't seem like much to you Yoopers...but at least it will cover up and brighten up the drabness of everything.
