Oh darn, maija - that's awful. Hope you get better soon - perhaps for another try?

Thanks Danbury--Just happy I got home without GULP having to stop on the road. Today I will make reservations for my son and me for next year.

Hope everyone is feeling better for Valentine's day. We're out of school as we can't be out the day before our state testing begins.

Sur5er
Hope you find me here.... Tried to do the picture thing but could not find out where to put it. I did put it into my "old photos" folder but cannot figure out how to get it on pasty messages. I will continue to play around with it.. Thanks again,, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! ALL
Ellen

Ellen,

We'll get this pic thing figured out for you...I hope. Ok, since you have the pic in "old photos" folder. Follow all the steps I gave you yesterday, but when you go to insert the pic on word document, still hit 'insert'. This will give you a window for all your documents...but note that at the top it shows other files. The file for 'old photos' should be one of those files. Click on the 'old photos' file and hit 'open' at the bottom of the window.

Once in the 'old photos' file, you should see the pic you want....higlight it and then hit, insert, and it will appear on your word document.

Let me know if this helps. If not we will try it another way.

Also, if you can't find the photo, click on search and type in the name of the file/pic and it will show you exactly where it is stored on your computer.

Maija,

So glad you didn't have to make any emergency stops out in the middle of nowhere. Traveling when you are sick is not fun at all...more like torture if you ask me.

Last year, my friend was headed up to view the statues, and she got sick in St. Ignace like you did...but was stuck there for days, too sick to drive.

Like Danbury says, you can always try for next year.

Hey Sur5er,
Got a new document with the picture on it but when I come over to Pasty Page it won't let me paste it. I have mastered 15 levels of Tombraider #3 so I hopefully follow directions but this has me stumped!! Thanks again,Ellen

All you need do is follow the instructions for \image...

Ellen,

Or we could always ask Charlie or Mary how it's done ;) ROFL. Now why didn't we think to ask them?

Ask and you shall receive, right? :-> Here's some specific instructions, hope this helps:
In the "Add a Message" box below, just type \ image{xx
} (no space between the slash and the word image),(with a title for the picture instead of xx) to upload. The preview page shows a temporary graphic labelled "Your Image Here", then when you click "Post this Message" it asks you to browse for the image on your hard disk, and it uploads it to this page, (replacing the temporary graphic in your message).

Make sure your image is no wider than 560 pixels, and it should be in .jpg format.

Just curious ... does posting at 1:26 AM earn me the early bird? (It's the only way I'd ever get it ... as getting up early isn't my thing!)

Just wondering if I could put in a request for prayers for an MTU student (masters degree) working for the Peace Corp in Togo, West Africa? Her name is Amber Kenny and she is the daughter of Dr's David H. Kenny and Judith C. Archibald, DDS of Houghton. There has been some unrest in Togo and we are worried about her. Anyway, thought some extra prayers couldn't hurt.

This is from her Aunt Cindy who enjoys reading about all you "yoopers" and your exploits and memories. Although I am a life-time Michiganian, all but vacations have been below the bridge.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.

P.S. Finally warming up here in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Actually been swimming two days in a row! Forecasting temps in the 80's the next couple of days! Yeah! Won't be long before I'll be complaining that it's just too hot!

Cindy, The prayer chain is started.

By Jen Burkholder Schnippert on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 - 10:20 am:

Cindy, I graduated from high school with Amber and will keep her in my prayers. Please keep us updated!
