Thanks to dm and the cute one for their info on Labrador tea - a little late but still. Since the plant is protected here, instead of walking out and getting me some I'll have to stick to my usual indian/ceylonese/kenyan brew.

Sad to see a young man died in skiing accident @ Ripley this week. In my 53 years of making those long sticks work, I manged to get picked off by a South Carolina skier at Grand Targhee, WY on 2/2. Luck and a new helmet kept the injuries to broken clavical and pelvis both on right side. Nevada sister is here to ramrod me through the relearning stages. Calumet sister and Mom on the phone everyday. Am looking at it as another adventure toward independence again. Ski safe cause it isn't always your fault. And wear a helmet!

Good luck Liz.... and it is so sad about the young man. Everything has it's risk in life tho.. everything. Came on to check out the statues....they look great in spite of the meltdown. As a Tech alumni who spent those hours working that snow and ice into something presentable, I can tell you it is one of those special times that never leaves you.. esp the all niter.

Not too many chatters today on the PASTY CAM. Everyone must be outside enjoying the sunshine and mild temps. See ya later, alligator!

Yes, indeed we were outside enjoying the beautiful day today. By the way, for those of you who took interest in my photo of our white mans fire on yesterdays pic of the day, there are step by step instructions on how to build one in my guest photo gallery. Have fun!
