sur5er, Indiana...

Regarding your post yesterday of washing dishes with cold water...here's a story for you!

John went to visit his 90 year old grandfather in a very secluded rural area of Georgia. After spending a great evening chatting the night away, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast. However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate, and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?"

His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get them. Just go ahead and finish your meal Sonny!"

For lunch the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates as his appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked, "Are you sure these plates are clean?"

Without looking up the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret, I don't want to hear another word about it!"

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl, and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, "Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car".

Without diverting hs attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted...
"COLDWATER, GO LAY DOWN!!!!!"

Yooper Sue, Thank you for a great belly laugh this morning. :) Too funny.

Oh no, all that beautiful snow that we got last week has almost all melted away. Guess the warm temps and the sun yesterday, really did a number on it. Quick, someone do the snow dance ;)

Da Donuts In Da Squad Car

I was on patrol one night, with anudder officer. We was bored...sitting in da squad car, in a big parking lot, a watching da first snow fall of da season.

Da udder officer with me was da driving instructor for da police department, so I says to him, "I'm bored...what don't we see what dis car can do?"

Da udder officer readily agreed...and before you know it we had that squad car whipping up and down that parking lot...and doing donuts like no one's business. Dere is nuttin like doing dounts on fresh fallin snow.Yah woulda thought we were at the Indy.

So dere we were...zooming up one side of da parking lot...and zipping down da other side of the parking lot. Suddenly, dere was a flurry of activity on da radio, it seems dat the neighbors in da area were calling in to da police department, to complain about some kids racing around in da parking lot. Good thing it was dark out, as da neighbors could identify that it was one of da squad cars. Dat would not have been good. We would have had a lot of explaining to do to da chief.

Da next thing we knew, dere were squad cars from all da sectors converging onto da parking lot. So we pulled up to one of da udder arriving squad cars, I rolled down my window and said to da udder officer in da udder car, "we got here as soon as we heard the call come over da radio...but by da time we got here, da drag racing kids were no longer here." Nobody was da wiser. ;)
