Mary, Thanks for the definition of the Copper Harbor Stare. Ok, I can relate to that...from living out in the middle of nowhere in Michigan :) We used to live on a street that was so backwoods, that it was only one lane wide...and the only traffic we had that went by our house, was the neighbor across the street, and the neighbor that lived at the end of the street. And occassionally, we got traffic from the state park...people who were looking for firewood for their campfires.
We'd sit in the living room at night, and we would look out the window, every time a car went down the road. Now you know, you are really out in the middle of nowhere, when you don't have to look out the window when you hear a car go down the road, and wonder, "who's that...it doesn't sound like so and so's car."..so you of course have to take a look see ;)
Sigh. I miss Michigan.
