Hey SMF, you must hold the record for early birds.

Good Morning from the Sunrise Side! Everyone have a good week.

By Margaret, Amarillo TX (Margaret) on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 09:16 am:

Bad start to the week: sleet, rain, ice. Bunches of yucky stuff here.

I just realized, that's Dan kneeling on the ice.

Good afternoon from Mishawaka, IN. It was very cold this am---lowest I heard was 4 but could have gone lower. My computer has been in getting over a virus and I really missed this site. To make it worse my computer at school was not available due to a flood in the library. Hope they have everything back together when break is over. I'm on my first day of break today. Spent the morning trying to finish my Christmas shopping. I don't think it is ever really finished.

By Francis Carne (Franfl) on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 02:36 pm:

Good afternoon form not so sunny Fl. It's cold here (for FLORIDA) misty and the North wind is howling out side. Closed my eyes and it sounded like the UP!

By NKR (Nkr) on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 05:50 pm:

Hello from Mishawaka IN. Hey Charlotte, I think the wind chill was -3° this morning when I got up at 5:30AM. Its only 7° right now. I like the blast from the past picture. It brings back memories of ice skating at my grandpa's on the St. Joe River. Stay warm everyone.

You're right, it is Dan. What a nice tribute.

By Peg Hardt (Almostup) on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 06:22 pm:

Japei,
How do you say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Finnish. I want to send an e-mail message to some friends in Kerava. Thanks!

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Monday, December 19, 2005 - 10:30 pm:

NKR, I used to skate on the good old St. Joe River as kid. Would get home from school as fast as possible to meet friends at the river and skate until almost dark. Seems like yesterday.

AlmostUP: Hilpeä Joulu sekä Onnellinen Uusi Vuosiluku

By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - 02:48 am:

WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er):
"Hilpeä Joulu sekä Onnellinen Uusi Vuosiluku"

My Finn-Translation engine says that means: "Brisk Christmas and Lucky New-fangled Year" (? - can't really trust that engine!)

Now that's a new one on me...
I always thought "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" was: "Hauskaa Joulua ja Onnellista Uutta Vuotta!"

By FRNash/PHX, AZ (Frnash) on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - 02:49 am:

P.S.: I can't wait to see what JARMO (Japei) says!

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - 06:06 am:

Me either. I like Sur5er's version, but the one I
know is FRNash's. Check out yesterday's
"Mininng Journal"--it was different too.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - 08:29 am:

FRNash, Oh my gosh, that is too funny..well, a brisk Christmas and lucky new fangled year to you too, eh. :) Well so much for that search engine. Fran, which search engine are you using?
