It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! That was my first thought when I saw these two pictures by Lori Houle-Vial and Paul Talvensaari, respectively. Could be because they look like holly berries or it might just be the snowy surroundings, but no matter the reason, they certainly are a reminder of the season. With the abundance of snow in the Upper Peninsula so far, these little red berries will be making some creatures very happy in the near future. Nature's bird feeder at work.

The berries sure brighten up the white and add so much beauty to the landscape. Beautiful shot.
Great pictures! Have a Merry Christmas Everyone!

Ooooooh, how pretty. The colors of the berries definately stand out in all the snow...definately a Christmas feel, to the pics :)

Great pictures Lori and Paul. Looks like Mountain Ash berries but have not been able to figure out what the other bushes are. Could they be Holly berries?

They are what is commonly known as Michigan Holly......don't pick it....the berries fall off.
