Good morning everyone. It's 36 degrees on Lake Michigan this morning...maybe...or maybe not. Weather.com was reporting our temps from about 10 miles inland, for the longest time, which was always inaccurate...so now they are reporting our temps from Gary. I guess it is time to replace our window thermometer, eh.

32 here in SE Mich. Three cheers to the White Sox. Having the Sox and Astros in the World Series was good for Baseball. Very fine pics of the two species of cranes that summer in MI over in Cam Notes. Enjoy the day everyone.

One way is to go to Search The Archives and choose the month and day you wish to view. Or at the bottom of this page go to '24 hours' and choose Cam Notes-2005 to bring up the whole year of 2005.

Hubby just called me, from the road. He is in the mountains of PA...on the tollway...and they have 6-8 inches of snow. He said that it is beautiful, with the white snow on the ground and the colorful leaves, still on the trees.
Hard to believe that PA has gotten snow so early...and before da UP. Hubby said that the rain from the hurricane, met with a cold front, from the north, and thus snow in PA so early in the season.

Howdy all. Just ran across a booklet I picked up at the Yooper Tourist Trap several years ago, last time we camped in the UP. It's the "Da Yoopers Glossary" and I'm in stitches re-reading some of their definitions..."side by each", "kits" as "Hows the wife and kits?" or"mud hole" is the hole left by the spoon when you take it out of the camp coffee. And one of my favorites Yah Hey"..."You got to be kidding me! I don't believeit!"
