Hello Smokey!

My 7 year old son & I will be in the Copper Country for a long weekend, arriving on Thursday afternoon, and staying until Sunday. He's never seen fall colors -- could anyone suggest some places where we might be able to still find some bright colors?

There's not a whole lot of color left up here after all the rain and wind. I bet you could still find colors at the top of Brockway or Lake of the Clouds. I'm sure just a drive up US41 towards Copper Harbor will give your son a sense of the beauty! (Bring him into the woods and collect fallen leaves, I loved doing that when I was young. But remember to wear orange!)
When I moved west, my mom would send a bag of pressed leaves every fall. It's a smell you never forget...
