This definitely is the time of year to be out in the woods, absorbing the sights, sounds and smells of autumn. With these two shots from Tim Minich, you get a whiff of the leaves as they're beginning to drop from the trees. It won't be much longer before the branches are bare and the feathered friends pictured here are gone from the U.P. for this year. That reminds me, I better get out back and put the old splitting maul to work this weekend.

Quincy Mine Hoist will see some action this morning, as the Lake Superior ProRally gets rolling about 10am. What a great time of year for a drive by a Great Lake!

Wow, looks like I missed a beautiful Fall Color season this year, but thanks to the Pasty.com and its people...I get to have a taste of home with the colors...thanks everyone!

Wow! Everyday is another fall surprise. What a gorgeous color season. I hope the year I retire is as fabulous because that's where I'll be when the leaves change.

Like Nate we also missed the Fall colors in the U.P. The past 5 years we were home for the Colors and the Lake Superior rally. The pictures are gorgeous and I am so homesick... Thank you, all of the Pasty Cammers...
