Good Friday Morning!!! We have frost on our cars this morning it is now 34 degrees now!! Fall is really here, winter is surely somewhere behind. I hate the thought of it, but its nature for us.

I could access the Pasty.net wireless network but had problems. My notebook has built-in wireless capabilites and this was the first time I tried to use them. I tried to access the net at the North Gate Motel on US 41. The connection would be made, then dropped, then reconnected, etc. Is this problem akin to a cell-phone fading in and out? Are there parameters I must set up for access?

While Pasty.NET serves most of the motels in the Keweenaw, North Gate has not yet called us to get connected. Perhaps you were receiving a Pasty.NET signal from some access point in the distance, which would explain the weak performance.

If you have a favorite motel in the U.P. not yet connected with in-house Pasty.NET, suggest to the front desk that they call our office to get connected, 906-337-5979.

Cindy Lee,I heard from Cassie's Mom and there was good news.They got the Labor stopped and she is back home on bed rest. Her Mom said to tell everyone who prayed for her THANKS!!!

This morning I had coffee with a neighbor on her porch.You can feel fall in the air. Thank goodness!

Oh Fran, thats good news. Something positive for a change. Tell Cassie she is still in my prayers. She must be so relieved. Hows Daddy holding up? The longer she has bed rest, I think baby has a real good chance. Thanks for letting me know whats going on. God Bless all of you.
