Morning and Great Day to All

By Charlotte, Mishawaka, IN (Charlotte61) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 07:28 am:

Good morning from Mishawaka, IN. We received 1.5 inches (according to my rain gauge)of much needed rain last night. Supposed to turn sunny and pleasant for the weekend. Have a great day and weekend everyone.

By Cindy Lee Maki (Cindylee) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 08:13 am:

I was wrong. Not the early bird. Would have beat Brock, but I got so excited I couldn't type fast enough. I'll keep trying!

Good Morning all,
Another good day here, I think. We do need the rain.
We are anxiously awaiting to hear from son who left for Iraq last Tuesday. Hopefully, he can e-mail us. It is stressful and its his second tour over there. Everyone have a great weekend and enjoy the warmth while we have it.

ILoveLucy2, Am hoping and praying that you hear from your son soon. Keep us posted.

By WishingIWasInDaUP (Sur5er) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 08:57 am:

Good morning everyone ;) Time to rise and shine and greet the day. Of course, a large pot of coffee always helps...and Da Abbi doing her, "You gotta let me outside...right now!" dance.

It's a GRAND day! Mom scared us w/a stroke last night @ the Lady Elks. By 11 p.m. she was alert but still not talking. Keweenaw Memorial even called me in Idaho 2 times! They may be small but they are the BEST from my stand point!

By Mary Drew at Pasty Central (Mdrew) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 11:21 am:

I posted this yesterday on the What'sUP page, but it was so late that I thought I'd repeat it today.
Here's a follow-up to this past Sunday's Shoebox Memory about the cruise ship, the South American and her sad demise.
Thanks to Fred Longpre and his daughter, Amy Harrer (who scanned the photos), we have a pictoral history of the South American in the Camden, NJ scrapyard. Check it out in Fred's Gallery, where he added a bit of narrative to each photo.

Sure is an odd looking plane at the airport.

Odd airplane!

Liz B,I sure am sorry to hear about your Mom. I hope she continues to improve. It sounds like she is in a good place to recover. Will say some prayers for her.

By kosk in Toronto (Koskintoronto) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 05:19 pm:

ILoveLucy2,

I can imagine your concern. I will say prayers
for him along with two of my cousins' sons
and my own who expects to be sent to Iraq in
the course of the next few months.

It's rainy here too, but we need it. Also, it was
my turn to water the garden at church (produce
goes to Daily Food Bank), so it was a nice
break after a week of filling out forms, etc.
at school.

Hi Cindy Lee, just found your post of this morning - yes and no: I was sort of working, but as to getting up early, I have a six hour advantage ... when it's 0400 AM in the UP, it's 1000 AM here!
Which means, of course, that now it's 0100 AM - time to go to bed!
Good night!

By Brock Waugh (Brock) on Friday, September 16, 2005 - 11:10 pm:

Sorry Cindy was just checking the site for the day before I left work. You win you are the early bird was already up all night.
