Several years ago, while driving into Houghton
on US 41 (near the frat houses and Lutheran
chapel), our family was stunned to see an
elephant walking along on a sidewalk. What
was it doing there?

I remember that timewise it was summer.
Do elephants go to the county fair?

A few years ago there was an elephant brought in for Bridgefest. Walked the entire parade route from Hancock to Houghton. It would have been June.
