Hello, I am trying to remember the name of a restaurant in Iron Mountain. As I recall it was off the main road in a small house. There were two ladies working there,and they also sold crafts I think. I am pretty sure it was right on a corner. Had the best and biggest omlette there. I was there the summer before last.Any help? My wife thinks it might of been a small light colored house with picket fence,also maybe across from a bank/office parking lot.

Sunrise Side, when I came home from running errands last night, I noticed that a lot people were parked by the beach/Lake Michigan. I imagine they were hoping to catch a view of the Northern Lights. I kept looking outside last night...but didn't see any Northern Lights. However, like you, I did see a beautiful sky with the moon and the stars.

Regarding the restaurant in Iron Mountain that John and Anne asked about: I don't remember the name either, but I know which one they mean...It is closed now. We were planning to go there for lunch a couple months back and were surprised to see it was no longer in business. They did have good food.

Can't believe those people just stood there and watched it all happen! Engineering aboard the 'Vlieborg' must've went into a panic, see the plume of engine exhaust smoke as they went into FULL ASTERN. That could've been MUCH worse.

Ken ja Mimi, Believe it or not, the most common reaction when people witness something such as this, is complete shock and disbelief....because it is an event that is out of the ordinary. They are then so absorbed into comprehending what they are witnessing, that they just stand there...because the mind and reaction are more or less, numb.
