Communication lines in the Copper Country have had some hard times lately. Last night about 9:15 we lost a major circuit at Pasty.NET, which was not restored until about 7:30 this morning. They tell us that it was the result of a fire at a service center in Chicago. A couple of weeks ago ALL communications were down in the Keweenaw, even 911 and cell phone service. Looks like things are getting back to normal now.

Could this be what's wrong with my computer? I am having trouble accessing more than one web page and am working furiously to figure out why. Fortunatly,this is my home page and I always seem to be able to get here.

Hi Maija, you don't suppose with jAPEi being dressed that way, he is trying to send the message that there are only 136 shopping days untill Christmas?

On such a hot day, and all the power is out, it certainly is not very comfortable here in San Jose. It's those rolling black outs they keep pulling on us. This time it was out about three hours during the heat of the day. Even the phones were out. Now is that any way to treat a paying customer? :) Now if jAPEi wants to dress like Santa, he could at least send us some snow, don't you think?

I love clicking on this site and seeing my grandchildren. Makes a grandmother proud.

Hei everyone, after doing a little checking with each other, it turns out that 'jAPEi' and 'Ken from da UP' are cousins!! What a pastycam!! We're family! Holy Wah!! Don't that knock your socks off? :>) :o) Hyvää päivää, Serkku!
Also, the FINNGRANDFEST 2005 is wondermous!! Saw and listened to the Kajanni Accordianists, Skålmusik, and Leikarit today. Was in the parade float for Tanja Stanaway's Finnish Class yesterday. Nice parade, too, if I say so myself. Two and a half more days, folks. Should get there if you can. You don't need to
be just Finn.
