Now this is something I've put on my definite "to do" list. What fun that would be to kayak around the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore near Munising. Cindy Freeman has a number of shots in her Guest Gallery that make you feel like you're viewing them in person. While you're checking out her slideshow tour, pay attention to all the little nooks and crannies you can see in the colorful rock walls, that's what I think would be enjoyable exploring in a kayak!

The Munising area is one of my favorites. The Pictured Rocks are fantastic...I wish I were there.

Mary, when I first looked at today's pictures I thought that someone must have photographed the same views I did when I took the Pictured Rocks Boat Tour. Then I realized that those really were my pictures! Thanks for featuring them. I sure would love to be there now. Southeast Michigan is going to be 95 degrees today.

Puleeeeez let me go there! It's already 81 here.

The Pictured Rocks lakeshore is beautiful, that's for sure!
However, other stretches of shoreline are also beautiful. This
past Sunday my wife and I and our dog hit the beach at Little
Presque Isle north of Marquette and marveled at how beautiful
that stretch of sandy beach is. I think maybe 12 other people
were on the beach at the time. Combine that outing with a nice
lunch at the Big Bay Inn, and you have a wonderful U.P. day to
remember, don't you think? (To be fair, I have to admit the dog
didn't give a hoot for the scenary, but he sure liked plunging
into that cool water to retrieve a tennis ball.)

Now, I wouldn't mind being in that kind of heavy traffic.

This is one place I would really like to visit, especially on a hot day like today!

Mary, I'm so glad your operation went so well. Now the healing process and the needed rest as recommanded by your doctor.
Cindy's slideshow is a must for all the viewers today. It is beautilful.

What refreshing pictures to look at on such a hot,

Pictured Rocks always remind me of the Dells in Wisconsin!
