Upmama, Did you have to remind us that it's time to get back to work? As soon as the fireworks were over, I was in my office trying to get back to work...only my scanner decided to take an extended vacation, it seems. Office Depot must love me, eh.

Beverly, San Jose ....All the apricots have been in the can's since last Friday. I had a nice relaxing two day weekend (Sunday & Monday). Now we are preparing for the peaches sometime around the 12th. I'm back on day's for now, then back to nights. Hope that all is well with you.

Thank you for the correction. I am trying to adjust to working days, after going from night shift (10 pm - 6:30 am)last Friday, getting off at 6:30 am on Saturday, double back on Saturday 2 pm - 10:30 pm. Been working 7 days a week. Having Sunday & Monday off. Work for about a week on days, then go back to nights 7 days a week again, until the end of August. I have no idea what day it is, or if I should be sleeping or awake.Needless to say, mind is not real clear at this point.

Beverly, To answer your question from the other day. Yes, everything is running a week or so later due to the cold and rain. A lot of crops were ruined by it. Most of the cherry orchards here took a big lost. Some growers didn't even bother to pick.

Does anyone know how RCW is doing these days? Hope he is feeling better and all is now well with him.

I hear that the French prez criticized Finnish cuisine! He
said the English have the worst food after the Finns.
Guess we'll have to invite him to the UP and feed him...
he'll change his tune after eating a Cornish/Copper Country
pasty and a batch of Finnish pancakes, eh!
