Charlie at Pasty Central (Chopper) on Sunday, July 31, 2005 - 07:01 am:

Once again we dedicate the last image of the month to the memory of friends who have come to the end of life's day:

Grace LaMotte
Robert A. Johnson
Timothy Jurmu
Shirley Sterner
Dolf Tolonen

Two of this month's names have extra meaning to the staff at Still Waters, where Pasty Central originated. Grace LaMotte and Shirley Sterner were longtime residents of the Home, and will be missed by friends and family. Shirley has appeared on these pages along with other residents who took part in the pasty making, which is how this website began. Over the last decade, one by one, each of the folks with us at the beginning of this project have passed on. Each life will be remembered.

You may recall Grace LaMotte, who represented Pasty Central in a memorable way, along with Kenny Pasanen, in the January 2004 Newsweek Magazine. We will miss Grace's smile. But Kenny is still with us. He beat me in a game of horseshoes last Friday.
Grace and Kenny

As always, you're welcome to add memorial notes, and our thanks to Debra McCumber for this month's In Memory photo. Our weekly Shoebox Memory will return next Sunday. Have a good week :o)
