Good morning from Mishawaka, IN. Another hot, humid day expected. Thank goodness school is finished. The last few days were really hard to handle.

good morning from the florida keys--we are getting some much needed rain today. Don't know how long it will last but we welcome it. Have a great day .

Can anyone tell me how to enlarge a quilting pattern(template) to double size of original? I sure would appreciate hearing from someone. I am a novice quilter. My e-mail address is gerrys@ejourney.com if you wish to reply.
Thanks
Gerry

Gerry, I have always wanted to quilt...but have never found the time. Sigh. Are you hand sewing the quilt or machine sewing it...just curious. On enlarging the pattern, are you talking about using a scanner to enlarge the template? If so, you would use 200% on the scanner. If the template is large, you may have to make a copy of the template...and then cut the template into squares...and then put the enlarged copies together. Hullo Office Max, eh ;)

Also, if you have a JoAnn Fabrics near you, they are always more than willing to help when you have a sewing / craft question. Good luck with your quilt...now I am envious...and headed over to JoAnn Fabrics for a quilting book. ;)

Gerry, You are gonna love this link...it's an enlarging/reducing scale for quilt patterns, using scanners/copiers. Does it get any easier than this? :)

Pegg, fla --

Here are two more links for Great Lakes information:

More fun than you can have in a day:

Hope you came over to What's Up to see this in the non-raccoon zone for today.

Pegg and DuneRat, these are the water temp maps that I use for jet skiing. http://www.coastwatch.msu.edu/superior/s2.html
My seventeen year old step son is overly anxious to get the jet ski in Lake Michigan, already...and he had convinced hubby that 'the water isn't all that cold dad..honest'. That was until I clicked on the water temp map last night for hubby. Can we say 'hypothermia', and 'floating ice chunks may make navigation on the lake a bit difficult?'

Karen from Florida? How are things going? Have not
heard from you in awhile. Made my trip to the U.P.
and had breakfast at Toni's. Bought me some prune
tarts to take back and also had my share of pasty,
for now that is. Hope all is well with you.
