Driving from east to west across the U.P. we've seen many a flower growing along the highways along our route. A trio of U.P. beauties take center stage today, along with a couple frequent visitors to the flower kingdom. Yellow Dandelions may be a nuisance to some folks, but Stanley Spruce captured a shot of a big old bee that thinks it's dinner! I know a few Mom's that think dandelions are pretty, especially in the grubby hands of her little ones, so pleased to bring Mom a bouquet. The next flora isn't one you'll normally find in the wild, the Bleeding Heart. Pictured here from Tom Cook, this beauty is quite unique hanging so brightly off the stems, perfectly forming it's namesake. A Ladyslipper is found in the wild, but I'm not sure if it can be grown in your own flower box. Joyce Tormala snuck up on this one so she could catch the teeny spider busy spinning a web along to move from place to place. Getting that close-up, gives us a good look at the flower and the spider's shadow too!
