The wording on these signs, photographed by Brita Haapala, brought to mind memories of the Twilight Zone. NOT because I think this county is in the that Zone, but because of the wording - Entering and Zoning, just reminds me of the way the old sci-fi show began. Whatever Zone Keweenaw County is in, it's a scenic one to be sure. Brita's brood is standing atop Bumbletown Hill, which actually is just as you enter Keweenaw County and gives you one of the most astounding vistas. Looks like these lapsi are searching for their talo and have just spotted where it is! For those of you that aren't sure where this lookout is, I've supplied you with a kortti, to help you find your way.

It's 61° and misty here. Thunderstorms all weekend.

103° and mostly sunny here in Las Vegas. I'll be in Marquette Tuesday, looking forward to golf at Wawonowin, the MSHS graduation next Sunday, and maybe a spin up to Big Bay for a beer at the Lumberjack.

That beer at the Lumberjack sounds like a GREAT idea! Have fun!!!

Anyone know how Bumbletown got it's name?
