There have been several new Guest Galleries added to the ever-growing numbers lately. One of the newest ones, belongs to Misty Bond, who by the looks of the shots in her Gallery subscribes to the old adage, the early bird catches the worm. With a Keweenaw sunrise coloring the landscape, even a swamp takes on a pleasing appearance. This picture, from the vantage point of the Sturgeon River Sloughs, is an inspiration for all of us to set that alarm just a bit earlier, so as to get out there and capture similar scenes, even if it's only to record it in your own mind's eye!

Can you say "WOW"?

BTW, it's been discouraging to see the weather has been warmer and nicer in the Keweenaw than in the D.C. area the past week or so...

Is it a one eyed, one horned FLYING purple pasty eater, or is it earth bound?

By Eleanor L.L. MI on Thursday, May 26, 2005 - 09:11 am:

Beautiful picture but it's going to rain today. The humming birds have come to the Copper Country so everyone get out your feeders. I have three birds fighting over mine.

By Cindy--Cent. Heights on Thursday, May 26, 2005 - 09:44 am:

What a beautiful picture this morning. Yes Eleanor, I to have humming birds at their feeder. This is my first time feeding them and when I saw one on it Monday, I almost fell off my lawn-chair, got so excited to see one so close up. I think so far I too seen 3 different one's. Aren't they pretty?

I saw this picture when I was browsing the guest photos the other day and said Wow myself, and put it as my computer wallpaper then. Nice to see it featured here today.

I have nothing new to say, just Wow! Fantastic picture!

By Kay, Wisconsin on Thursday, May 26, 2005 - 05:00 pm:

Misty, it has been very hard for me to work today with your picture as my wallpaper. I have it on both of my monitors and if I look at it intensely, it appears to be a 3-D picture in which I can actually get lost. Fantastic.

By Julia, MI on Thursday, May 26, 2005 - 05:01 pm:

It almost looks like a fairytale scene.
Awesome Picture!!!

By Misty Bond on Thursday, May 26, 2005 - 09:33 pm:
