This U.P. shot from Ferdinand Lundberg, looks like it could be the perfect reason for having to fire up the sauna stove, throw some water on the hot rocks and create a bit of cleansing steam . Take a two track trail, add in a good amount of springtime rain, stir up well with a few spinning tires - - end result could be enough mud that you'll need - - first a shower, then that hot sauna to scrub the pores! There are many things to be discovered along country byways such as this one, besides muck and mire. All one need do, is take the time to look around and you'll discover towering old trees and so much beauty surrounding them. Ahh, the great outdoors!

Don't forget to thank our military members today, for their patriotic service to support our country. Today is Armed Forces Day, fly your flag in honor of those who serve!

Ahh...the perfect time to two track; the brief window of time between melted snow and mosquitoes! What gorgeous pictures!

Are there any public saunas still up there?

Those tall trees look like Michigan White Pine. It looks like it must have been a beautiful day for a walk in the woods. Thanks for the great picture.

Thanks to all of the men and women serving in the Armed Forces. Also, thanks to the vets including my father and his brother. We live the lives that we enjoy because of you and your sacrifices. God bless you all and keep you safe.

Great photos - the top one sure looks a lot like Theiler's Road between Rova's Corner in Obenhoff and the Salmon Trout River.

There's a sauna at a motel on the main drag in Copper Harbor -- don't remember its name. Harbor Hide-away, maybe.

What a beautiful day for Armed Forces Day, actually I put the flag out on May 1 already to celebrate May Day as well.

Beautiful day here in the Copper Country with 70's and 80's here in Hancock. We live on the sunny side of the canal. Everyone is out planting flowers and lawn mowers are going. We were wondering if it would ever warm up enough to enjoy the spring time.

Remember all of our servicemen and women today and every day. Have neighbors that are serving in Iraq.
