Good Morning. It's hard to believe it is the Ides of December, and it's 55 degrees outside. It's like a spring or summer morning here in mid-Michigan. Of course that means falling temperatures, along with our rain today. I'm still hoping for a white Christmas. They're saying our next real chance for a winter storm will come Tuesday.

Later taking my Scottie in to see the ophthalmologist/surgeon in hopes cataract surgery can be possible to restore his vision. This could be the very best Christmas present for him and us if it can happen!

What kind of horses are pictured in 2010? They sure look capable of pulling a heavy load.

AJ, those are Belgians, the smaller but the most docile of the draft breed of horses!

Ahh, Belgians...that was the breed I always wanted. Speculated on an Appaloosa once, but he wasn't quite tame enough, plus soon after that we made one of our many long-distance moves and it wouldn't have been practical. But, it never stopped me from wanting a horse.:( Janie, do you own any Belgians?

Shirley, no Belgians. I have a double reg Quarter Horse, An Appaloosa, a Section A Welsh pony, 10 American Miniature Horses, consisting of 2 Appaloosas, a appaloosa with pinto markings known as pintaloosa, 2 Paints/pinto, a Grey, a Chestnut, a black/bay, a buckskin, and a silver bay.

Just got home from the ophthalmologist veterinarian surgeon. Brimley, my Scotty is a ideal candidate for cataract surgery next Friday!! My baby will see again!! Merry Christmas Everybody!!

Off subject but, have any of you checked Sharon's cam lately....looks like she's got a coating of ice on her window/doors. Hope she's staying off the road.

I know, Janie, they're sooo cute. I'd be tempted to let them sleep in my lap.:D That right there is one of the reasons I think my husband was not too eager to bring a horse into our family circle....he said that I'd want to bring it into the house when the weather got bad. Well??
